As you may have seen on my socials, I’ve been away for quite a while. Turns out that doing 4 events in 5 weeks while trying to juggle stock prep, doing admin and client work isn’t that great for your mental health. So on the 3rd of December I closed my online shop, that way I was able to finish packing orders and client work right before the holidays. I did a full online detox, deleted tiktok and replaced instagram doomscrolling with reading and drawing. I used to spend hours and hours just scrolling through videos of people dumping their feelings and political views on me and it just made me sad or angry. It surprised me how much it affected my mood and how much extra time I had if I didn't spend it aimlessly scrolling. It was wonderful and, to be honest, I recommend everyone to try it. Now that my break is over though, I’ve been debating whether or not I should start using on tiktok again. It’s not worth my mental health at the moment, so for now I'll focussing on instagram, my newsletters and my blogs.
